Father's Day Wine Club Event: The District Pit BBQ Pop-Up at Dodon

Join us on June 21st from 1 - 6 pm alongside our friends from The District Pit and pit master Roger Sherman who will be serving freshly smoked meats and classic side dishes.

Pit master Roger Sherman is a native of Washington, DC, and grew up eating his mother’s Kentucky-style southern cooking. Born on Christmas day, Roger fondly recounts how his mother’s labor made her unable to finish cooking the Christmas turkey– and left his father and older sister without Christmas dinner that year. A long-running family joke for his entire childhood was that when he got old enough, he owed the family a Christmas turkey. He made good on that promise when he bought his first smoker. From that long-running joke grew his passion for barbecue and in 2016, The District Pit was born.

Come enjoy local seafood with us on Friday, July 10th during Dodon's Friday night happy hour at the pavilion where we will be joined by friends and chefs from The Local Oyster! They will be offering Steam Pots to order, featuring their very own True Chesapeake Oysters from Maryland's St. Jerome Creek. Steam Pots include steamed oysters, clams, shrimp, potatoes and corn. Pre orders are required, and are due by Tuesday, July 7th at noon. Dodon wine will be available by the flight, glass and bottle. Save the Date: Wine Club Holiday Party

The Dodon team invites you and your guests to gather in the tasting room for some holiday cheer. We look forward to sharing Dodon wines and the company of fellow Wine Club members. 

Local Bottle Engraver, “Little Bit Engraving” will be on site to hand engrave Dodon Wine bottles - the perfect holiday gift!

Our team would be happy to secure dinner reservations at a local restaurant after the cocktail hour party. Please contact Regina at regina@dodonvineyards.com or 410-798-1126.

Admission includes complimentary glasses of Dodon Series wines and small bites. This event will take place indoors, and may have to be canceled in case of snow. Space is limited and this event will sell out. Members may bring guests and reservations are required.
